UN Number
Dangerous Goods And Materials

UN Number

Any dangerous goods or materials correspond to a four-digit UN number. These numbers are displayed on warning signs for example during the transport of hazardous goods.

Firefighters, cargo pilots or conductors need easy and quick access to all relevant information when handling dangerous materials. For example in case of accidents or leaks. Our app “UN Number” delivers results after just a few clicks – and helps to avoid, reduce and prevent dangerous incidents for humans and the environment.

Playing It Safe

In collaboration with Emergency Response Intervention Cards (ERI-Cards) the numbers help fire brigades and other institutions and organisations. They answer questions of security and help to estimate the potential dangers of any material quickly and accurately as well as proposing the correct measures to ensure safety for all.

We enable easy access to UN numbers and ERI-Cards via our app, which is available via smartphone and tablet.

  • In-app purchases (NFPA 704, ADR Infos, Hommel pages)
  • No internet connection necessary

One App – Many Numbers

The number to identify hazards is an identification which is unified for all dangerous substances. For example, the number “3” stands for “flammability of liquids”. A doubled number indicates a particularly high risk. If there is only one hazard, the second digit is replaced by a zero.

The UN Number app is implemented as a native application for Android and iPhone and has also been optimised for use on the iPad.
