Working at ZWEIDENKER
We are an international team of developers, strategists and designers in Cologne, building connected digital products since 2009. Our open positions are advertised at ApptiveGrid — the platform that grew out of exactly this work.
Where the positions are advertised
ApptiveGrid is the platform on which we build most of our business applications today. Since most of the development happens there, every open position is advertised centrally on the ApptiveGrid careers page.
Whoever starts there works in the same place with the same people as the team whose references you see on this site: ApptiveGrid GmbH shares our office at Brüsseler Platz in Cologne and has the same managing directors.
The careers page is in German — the working language of most of our projects. Written and spoken German is therefore expected for most roles; English is the second language in the team.

What the work looks like
Large software projects are only partly plannable at the start. That shapes how we cut teams and how much responsibility sits, from day one, with the people who write the code.
Agile, in short cycles
Scrum and Kanban, working results at the end of every sprint. Not a plan nobody ends up following, but a running system that gets better with each sprint.
Small, interdisciplinary teams
Development, concept and design sit together and talk to the client directly. Responsibility sits in the team, not in a layer above it.
Product and project
We build custom software for clients and, with ApptiveGrid, our own platform. Each feeds the other: what a project needs often shows up in the product first.

From 20 reference projects: mobile applications for iOS and Android, Flutter for both platforms at once, Pharo for backends and research projects, and ApptiveGrid wherever a standard platform beats writing code.
