Flink Me Rideselling
From the train coach straight into a pre booked taxi. Is this what customers want? Deutsche Bahn decided to test this idea in Leipzig. We developed the IT system for this project – at record speed.
Customers want to prebook taxi trips to and from the trainstation online and in advance – this is the assumption of Deutsche Bahn. In order to test this idea, a pilot project has been deducted at Leipzig central station: A local taxi company provided drivers and electric vehicles. Hostesses promoted the booking application à la Uber as an alternative to a taxi stand or public transportation in situ on tablets.
Agile App Development In Express Speed
Customers book rides in the frontend. The taxi company manages and schedules requests in the backend. We developed both – and furthermore took care of all things design, usability, data protection and registration of a domain.
We delivered all solutions in one go thanks to our agile workflow: our client was able to keep track of our progress on a daily basis und give immediate feedback – so that a functional system which satisfies all requirements could be created in record time.
Features
- Simple booking of connecting mobility via app – making calls obsolete
- Cost estimation based on point of departure and destination of the trip
- Overview of all tarif zones on a map
- InApp tutorial to onboard the test user
- Feedback option within the app
Minimum Viable Product
The main functions were implemented with the least effort possible, which enabled our client to get feedback on their idea as fast as possible.
In principle, the mvp (minimum viable product) enables a quick learning curve and prevents misunderstandings which lead to an unsatisfying product.
